What ReshapePDF is

ReshapePDF is a set of free tools for everyday document tasks: turning Word documents and images into PDF, saving PDF pages as images, merging PDFs and extracting pages. It is operated by NewChallengeMedia.

How it works

Every tool runs inside your browser. When you choose a file, it is read on your own device and the result is created there, so the file is never uploaded to our servers.

This is possible because the tools use open-source libraries that run in the browser: jsPDF and pdf-lib to create and edit PDFs, PDF.js to read PDF pages, and a small WebAssembly engine to convert DOCX files.

What to expect

Each file can be up to 50 MB. PDF to image converts the first 30 pages. Password-protected PDFs and older .doc files are not supported.

DOCX conversion keeps text, headings, images, headers and footers, but table borders and list bullets can be missing and fonts may be replaced. For an exact copy of a complex document, use Save as PDF in Word itself.

Why it is free

The site will be supported by advertising. There are no accounts, no watermarks and no limit on how many files you convert.

Testing and feedback

The tools are tested in a real browser with sample documents, including files with Romanian diacritics, tables and images. We investigate reports and fix problems we can reproduce.
